Anybody else heard the rumours about another new 911.

car are suggesting the current 911 will be facelifted late next year (04 model yr) with 3.8L engine, flared wings, new nose and tail, 19" wheels and ceramic brake options

then a totally new model in 06 model year with option of flat 8 engine, as V8 would not fit!

Anybody believe any of this. I am tempted to go with a deposit on the next facelift car as supposedly the local dealer has no deposits yet so could have one of the first (but as yet unofficially confirmed) 3.8L cars?

Anybody know anything...worth putting a speculative deposit down then?????

I have a deposit on the new generation turbo. No plans to take delivery though, just plan to gain from the inevitable two year que again. Last time cars were going for about 10k premium I seem to remember.

Roadrunner - I have often discussed this with friends but never looked into how you actually go about it - What sort of deposit do you need to to put down on a car like this and do you have to pay more upon delivery?

1k deposit initially, with 5k to confirm spec at up to 6 weeks prior to delivery.

Sound ivestment you think?

Seems a much better bet than the stock market!!

I read somewhere that teh Ford Street Ka will be similarly short in suppply so I suppose it might be a safer first time 'buy' ??

Ferrari's are best for making cash. The new 360 spyder's are going for 30k over list. Not sure how much deposit they would want on the next generation though. If your rich enough the new Enzo's are 100k over list.

Sadly not yet!!! I would just be worried about the payments on the thing while you sold it...

I have seen some ads where people just sell their deposit places a at the time of choosing spec. Anyone tried that?
