F355 width? [Will it fit in my garage.....?]
Discussion
I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get a definitive answer as to the width of a 355GTB.
The width I'm looking for must include the wing mirrors, folded back if necessary!
My garage door is 80" and I'm confident and careful having had several 'close-fitting' cars in there.
Thanks in advance. Again.

An F430 is 75.7 inches wide which is the only mag I have to hand.
I have a Persimmon house and the garage is a little bigger than most but I can get my Corvette Z06 in with mirrors fully extended with about 1cm each side to spare. The Z06 must be wider than an F355 I would guess. I find the fit is always fine, the difficulty is where the doors open relative to any internal intrusions (if any.

Ian, that is the same width as my garage door, the car will fit.
You need to push the passenger side mirror in, get as close to the wall as possible with the passenger side, stick a piece of carpet or foam to the drivers side wall so you can open the door into it. I find if I wind the window down, I can just about turn around in the seat and squeeze out of the opening in the door (can't open it very wide so only a narrow gap). Then reach back in the car and close the window and remove keys. Et voila.
Not the easiest manouver in the world, but can be done.

Thanks. It's a double garage so no worries on getting trapped in the car once it's in! Just need to mind my motorbikes...
The back of the car is very nearly as wide as the wing mirrors, so if the wing mirrors can go in then the rest of the car will fit.
The width is 1900mm according to www.ferrari.co.uk/FWorld/fw/index.jsp
Does the garage get wider inside because you will have difficulty getting out of the doors otherwise.
