please can someone tell me how to stop the DAB radio beeping at me every 30 or so seconds. it only happens on DAB, not FM/CD etc, its probably really simple, but then again so am I!!!!

1. Move house to an area with good DAB reception.

2. Only drive on roads with good DAB reception.

Id say its a set problem not reception. My dab doesnt beep but the demo/courtesy car i had last week did.
If no one here can come up with the answer i would go to your dealer.

Nope it relates to the auto DAB to FM function, it beeps when it loses DAB and Changes to Fm from memory. I have a manual next to me and to turn off it is: Set to DAB-FM-OFF I think done with; 1)Press menu 2)keep pressing ^ and v until DAB-FM appears, 3) press < or > to change setting 4) press menu or Ok twice to exit

Could also be the traffic anouncement function is on. I selected this function on mine when traveling back for Christmas and within 5 minutes turned it off due to the incesent beeping.

Yep forgot about that. As a set Ifind the Blaupunkt quite frustrating in the way it does things. my previous JVC in the TVr was much better.

thanks for all the suggestions, i will try them all tomorrow. The most likely one is to be the Traffic thingy, but I am down to get a new set under warranty from Neils as soon as they are in stock(which says something, as Lotus sport hethel had none last week!). It keeps skipping on CD and MP3, so maybe that will help

it definitely is the traffic function than beeps on DAB - press the traffic so the TMC light goes of and you'll be OK.

It's a nuce sounding machine, buts really crap to use - too many buttons to take your attention away from the road.
