When Touring Cars were great - video treat...
Discussion
As a huge fan of 'real' Touring Cars (ie: not 2-litre tinpots), particularly Gp.A in the 1980's I thought I'd post this little video clip showing some of the cars in action. It's the intro to a video called ETC produced for Austin Rover back in the 1980's. For all those fans of the SD1's, particularly the PMG/Fleet/Sanyo/Bastos cars I hope you like it...!
There's loads more action on the tapes including lots of behind the scenes stuff. It gives a real insight into the Austin Rover / TWR team.
The video (VHS only I am afraid) is available as a twin pack with Magnificent Seven from Duke Video for about £15. Excellent stuff if you are an ETC/SD1/M635/240T fan.

Sounds good. Thanks for the heads-up. A short while ago I found a vifdeo in a charity shop of the 92 BTCC series- great racing. The best 50p I ever spent!
Follow this link to watch a complete video of the 1989 Birmingham Superprix BTCC race. Not only is it set back when Touring Cars were good, but it's a good bit of nostalgia on a forgotten track too.

Read around the rest of the site and you see that they tried to resurrect the superprix but sadly that will not happen.
