Your favourite independent coffee spot in London

I'm a massive fan of a really good cup of java and definitely appreciate a well textured Flat White and in my eyes, Taylor Street Baristas (all branches) seem to have it nailed.

A medium flat white with an extra shot first thing in the morning is something amazing, especially when you pop in to the nearby Sainsbury's for a hazelnut chocolate croissant.

I use a few other places and wondered where other people go for their coffee fix?

Kaffeine is was my personal fav for coffee of the 3 places I tried, but was more of a hang out joint than a foodie place.

I know Notes is a chain but there is a small street cart set up in the church yard of St Giles in the Fields near Denmark St. There double cortado is the best I've tried nicer than the Notes in Morgate by City Tower.

Some of those coffee caravans are pretty good. There's one outside Kentish Town station that's not too shabby.

I have to say the London Coffee Guide comes in handy when you're in an unknown area, although I was disappointed when I popped in to Chancery Coffee for a flat white, the texture was crap and it was far too hot.

the one at the exit to Barbican tube station but it's more a habit than a measure of quality. It's not bad though!

Bar Italia in Soho is my favourite

Probably nude in Hanbury St, but The Liberty of Norton Folgate is very good and that's the closest to my office.

GInger & White in Hampstead is my favourite near home.

This one at Bank, at the bottom of Lombard Street. You can see the umbrella and little caravan thing behind the railings.

Am a big Notes fan. Really good coffee. And laid back. Pork pie and piccalilli for lunch ... mmmm.

My suggestions:

-Caravan is my out and out favourite. The one in Exmouth Market is good the one in King's Cross is even better.

-Sourced Market at St Pancras do a wicked (genuine 6oz) flat white with Monmouth beans for only £2. A bargain

-Flat White in Soho, Monmouth in Covent Garden and Maltby Street, Climpson and Sons on Broadway Market all get honourable mentions too.

Monmouth in Borough is OK. If you are buying beans as well you can skip the (usually huge) queue

Gentlemen Baristas on Union Street is a great new addition to the area. Coffee is on a par with Monmouth & the Baristas are much more friendly.

Monmouth is OK but I always feel they're there for the tourists and let the quality slip a little. Don't get me wrong the flavour of the bean is good but the milk etc could do with a little more attention.

I've walked past this little stall and never thought twice about picking up a coffee as I'm usually speed walking my way to Taylor Street in Bank. The food is good but the coffee is (in my eyes) effing delicious.

I'll have to make a deviation one day and sample the goods.

OK, so a couple have been mentioned around the Farringdon/Clerkenwell area but can anyone recommend some other joints to try around these parts please?

Didn't that only open a day or two ago?

Looks a bit contrived from the outside. I also spotted flannel and beards so expect comedy pricing.
