Just bought a 3.2 boxster s. Really enjoying it, I expected if to feel a bit lacking in power (also have a tvr cerbera red rose) but I'm pleasantly surprised! It does sound a touch on the quiet side though, any recommendations for a sports exhaust guys?

The car..

Depending on how much you are looking to spend? When my dad had one of these, we drilled a few holes in the exhaust system. All you need is a long drill bit to go down the tailpipes, drill the metal that does a 90 degree curve (you will see what i mean if you shine a torch down it) it will then let a bit of exhaust gas free from going through the silencer completely. Whilst still being quiet at normal revs, it definitely gives it a nice noise when you give it some!

I realise this approach isn't for everyone. But it did work wonders. Will still pass mot's, and is free!(if you already have the long drill bit)

I've got a Carnewal modified exhaust with 100 cell cats and stainless manifolds. There is a static clip in my profile. It sounds much better on the move and under load.

Almost any car is quiet compared to a Cerbera!

I think they sound great as they are, especially with the top down. I like the change of note at about 2500 - 3000 rpm (something to do with intake resonance).

Looks great! nice buy,had loads of performance stuff and the mid-engined Boxster is the best handling car I've ever driven.

I've got a Carnewal conversion on my Boxster Spyder. I'm really impressed, it has transformed the sound of the car which was really lacking before. It still doesn't sound as good as a Cerbera tho smile

Oh and the Carnewal conversion is only around £500 which is a fair bit cheaper than a new sports exhaust
