Cycling in the Alps - In Winter

I work for a ski company, and have a chance to head out for a few days this winter. I've snowboarded all my life and I'm basically a bit bored of it so I'd rather have a few days riding whilst there if possible

I'd be in Brides Les Bains, near Moûtiers. If I went in early Dec or late March, am I going to get much decent riding or am I going to die on ice? Is cycling round there at that time of year even viable?

Have you tried split-boarding?

The weather is anything but predictable, as I'm sure you know. There's bound to be days where you could ride comfortably and days where you'd want to get your affairs in order before clipping in. If it was icy out I'd probably park the bike or stick to exposed routes once the sun has hit them.

If it were me I'd ride the powder when it's there and then ride a CX on the afternoons when it wasn't.
