4200 steering

I've had my 04 CC for a couple of months and I've noticed something that seems odd with the steering. Sure its responsive and goes around bends very well, but on the straight it seems overly light and the front moves around over ruts, man hole covers etc. It's worse in the wet. Is this normal?? - The front tyres are wearing out quickly on the outside edges, maybe this has something to do with it?

Sounds like you have toe-out on the front end as that would make the car less stable in a straight line (toe-in increases stability) and wear the tyres.
