This week's Autocar p.12 & 13 has spy shots of the next spyder (in drag so can't see much). Spyder has a SL type hardtop roof.

They claim the coupe will be a proper 4 seater and not a 2+2 and that it will run with a larger F430 engine giving 430-450bhp......

How did you manage to get a copy of the mag and post this yesterday???!!!??? I didn't think the mag was out until today!

Yep, seems the coupe will be a genuine 4-seater whilst the Spyder will be a 2 seater with a folding hard-top. www.italiaspeed.com is worth a look for details too.

As for the engines, the current 4200 uses the F430's block (or vice versa ) so it makes sense that this would be mildly modified for the new car.

Should be good to see it go head to head with the new Jaguar XK8 and Aston V8 Vantage
