What a surprise, they have got rid of the best corner on the track! How much tarmac run-off will there be also? I recon quite alot.

I think if there had been room for run off, they could have kept the corner. But this is a built up area and there's no space to build a modern 'Istanbul Turn 8' style run off.

Neverthless, this will be one of the best circuits. Three straights with outbraking opportunities and the very fast Suzuka style esses. I'm glad it is back.

Is the old Peraltada where I think Nigel Mansell used to pull 3G's and black out towards the end?

The Peratalda was neutered about a decade ago when Champ Cars went back there.

I went there for A1GP 2008, and the corner was similar then. There was hardly any run off area, it was almost like a street circuit in that bit! Great place though.

Mmmmm, and now I've watched other videos from around that time. What a shame F1 doesn't sound or look like that any more.
