My Exhaust Tips have Vanished
Discussion
It is a separate trim that is only used on the facelift 986S, which I also have. Earlier models have them welded to the exhaust box itself and the 987 is different again. The only one on ebay:

I have seen replacement one piece oval trims on ebay but not at the moment.
They are only held on by one bolt so may have been stolen. However, mine was rattling due to being loose. The captive nut on the trim is only tack-welded on and has awful access.

Here was mine (There should be a captive nut on the underside of the hole) I replaced it with a stainless steel M8 nut and bolt:

The trim is held on by bolting through a bracket on the rear exhaust box that has a oval hole in it.

Even with it fitted, the trim pipes do not actually touch the very short stubby twin pipes you can now see. It's safe to drive as it is but, as I'm sure you've noticed, doesn't look good! Long term, I expect fume may get in the boot but I'm not certain about that.

That looks just like the exhaust on the back of a leMans 911
