as title. I want to get a range of varying size small boxes that open up for putting various screw ranges in in my garage. And other things like different size wire clips etc. At the moment many are loose and getting on my nerves. Ideally I'm wanting some simple cheap boxes like the sort you get when you purchases expensive screws like spax. But at the same time I want them cheap (of course). Any ideas?

Jam jars. Pick a shelf, fix the lid of the jar to the bottom of the shelf. Put screws in jar, screw to lid. Tada!

I use these. Got a few, one for plugs, one for hammer fixings, one for 15mm copper, 1 for 22mm copper etc, etc…

They live on the van and get some abuse and hold up very well.

They do less heavy duty ones if it's just something for home or occasional use.

Search "stanley organiser" on the Screwfix website. Range of sizes available.

Go to the £ shop and get some plastic ones, they come in all sizes and the small ones are usually in packs of 3 or 5. Cardboard ones you'll have to to mark them all up as to what's in them, where as you can just take a glance in the clear ones.

Those Stanley "style" organizers can be had from Lidl or Aldi from time to time.
They were going for 6.99 from memory, I have three for various bits n bobs in the works car.
Fairly robust for the price, I think the Stanley ones are good but pricey.

I might look at the food container idea - I really want them separate ie I don't want the stanley style organisers. And I want them all the same eg so I can have 20 or 30 on a shelf, but only take the ones I need indoors etc when required for a job.

These. can be quite brittle . I would go for the Tupperware type if possible

Good point. Guess it depends how much the OP wants to spend. The bay is full of 'em.

I hate wasting money but after crushing card board boxes, smashing jam jars and Chinese containers shattering I gave in and bought the proper plastic containers.

(admittedly when they were on offer)

The ones with the separate boxes contained in one case are the best type.
