Removing stickers from wheels?

Looking at getting some new wheels, with a rim depth of around 30mm....but don't want the billboard effect that seems to come with such rims.
Anyone successfully removed these, from say a set of Mavic Cosmic Elites?

The stickers come off Cosmics really easily - well, the 2011 model anyway.

Hairdryer to heat the glue, peel away.
A mild solvent and a microfibre cloth to remove the glue residue.
Job jobbed.

To get all of the glue off I used Brasso, I reckon it makes em faster and look at the shine!

Just removed the decals from a pair of Americam Classic wheels, a right pain in the butt as the decals are printed paint. Used a concoction of paint thinners and Farecla cutting compound. Took two days work and I ended up with fingers like bananas. Was worth it though




If the decals are vinyl stickers then some heat from a hairdryer helps release the advesive
