I did not wish to hijack the other thread so thought I would start a new one.

Long story on problem cars, but im now seriously considering an S2000.

Question is, is the rev 2 suspension changes worth the extra?

How twitchy is the Rev 1?

A few years ago I test drove a Rev 1 and thought it handled pretty good.

Any thoughts / comments welcome.

ex g/f has rev1, where as mine is the latter. preferred her's...

Can I ask why?

Rev 2's are supposed to have stiffer springs but softer anti-roll bar, apparently, im trying to confirm this

Softer spring rates and different damper settings. Last time I was under mine, I didn't remember seeing an anti-roll bar !

There were other revisions:

Polished alloys.
Heated glass rear screen.
better speakers and stereo.
wind deflector as standard.
Moved the headlight washer so that you didn't set it off with your elbow.
Different gear knob.

better speakers and stereo. -- It's the HU that makes all the difference, easy enough to upgrade
wind deflector as standard. -- Worthy option, a lot of earlier cars had them anyway.

Different gear knob. -- I has a bit of leather around it so that your hands don't get too cold on chilly mornings



I'd save the cash and get an earlier car (used to have one) and spend the difference making it your own

This was my general conclusion, look for a good condition rev 1 with relatively low miles.

Glsss rear screen would be nice though.

Hopefully looking at one Friday morning
