mpi cutting out

my 98 mpi is cutting out when u come to stop say at traffic lights sometimes it will just die when u put ur footon the clutch and will have 2 be restarted anybody got any ideas what it could be ?

yep, mine did this when only a couple of years old, it took absolutely ages to find out what was wrong and get it fixed, about 7 trips to the dealers if I remember right.

It's the sensors on the inlets, (at least it was on mine) it's a rover job unfortunately.

Idle-air control valve ?? Temperature sender in inlet manifold ??

i work in a garage and have had in on the diagnostic machine but neither of those come up?
