MTB full-face helmet

Cant be many of them about. I can however recommend the casco viper. I have one & its superb. Bought it from some bike shop near snowdonia last year if I remember correctly.
I was going to replace it with the parachute 2014, now a proper liteweight fullface helmet, but in the heat last night it was so nice to remove the chinguard, im not sure I will bother now.

Yes, found the Viper and looks pretty good, but couldn't find any others.
Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist. It's a lot of cash to spend on a helmet and my riding is split 75% XC and 25% DH (but my DH riding speed seems to be increasing quicker than my skills, so increasing the risk of big offs).
I didn't want the expense of buying a DH specific full-face if I only use it once every 10 days or so. But then again, what price do you put on maintaining your good-looks?!
I ride in FOD / Cwmcarn and like to do an XC loop first before riding back up to the top of the DH routes for a few runs.
I will look ridiculous with my DH helmet strapped to the back of my pack on the XC route (or is that properly rad gnarr endruo nowadays?), but wearing the DH helmet on the XC routes will mean I'll overheat on the climbs.

I care more about what I'd look like after a OTB on a rock garden than I would about what I looked like riding up the trails!
Obviously wearing one for XC and all day trail riding is overkill - but if you are just slogging up fireroads and non-technical climbs to hammer descents I'd always choose the security of a Full face lid and strapping it to your backpack isn't too much of a hardship.
