Up to about 20 years ago, i had one of these...(not my photo)
I went everywhere on that bike and was gutted when i sold it. I've had various MTBs over the years and always used them for messing around on rather than any proper riding. However since March this year i've been running one with less knobbly tyres and putting some road miles in (combined with a Spin Bike in the house) and i've dropped a fair amount of weight...
I set myself a target and the Scales told me i hit it about 2 weeks ago, so i put in an order for this with a Local(ish) bike shop.
I had my first ride on it last night and knocked 6 minutes off my time for a 10 mile Circuit i do after work. I should get a bit faster when i get used to the bike a bit more. I should have done it years ago.
No doubt at some point i'll be posting from a gutter having fallen off on my first ride with Clipeless pedals
