I'six weeks ago I brought a Fuji Sportif Compact as my weekend bike from Evans. I've chosen this due to it's less aggressive set up (I had a crash and suffered whiplash so I get neck and shoulder pain). My old bike was a Triban 3 which I now use for commuting.

I had the bike fitted at Evans but have been getting sore Hamstrings when I do a longer ride on the Fuji. I don't get them on the Triban and never did on long rides on this bike.

I'm not Sure if it's the increased miles I'm doing during the week or the new bike that's causing the soreness when I ride the Fuji. I will probably take it in to Evans to have the fitting checked but does anyone have any ideas?

Sore hamstrings are normally as a result of over extending at the bottom of the pedal stroke.

Try dropping your saddle a few mm at a time and see how you get on.
