Trackdays - Northern Circuits

Off to Anglesey for Monday's Javelin day.

After that, looks like I'll be doing Croft on either the 12th or the 13th of September. The 13th has an 88dB limit - Samy was 86dB at the last two trackdays so if see is again on Monday I'll be booking the 13th (which is a Saturday). Details here;

The next one after that is going to be Oulton Park on the 12th of November (a Wednesday);

I'll be staying at a motel / hotel of some description the night before the Croft one (and heading back to London straight after). Oulton Park one I'll be staying at my friends house the night before.

I'm hoping Samy will be 86dB again, standard exhaust and de-cat pipes, however, now the leaking manifolds, CATs, hockey sticks and silencer joints have been fixed I suspect a lot more noise will be coming out the tailpipes. If she's over 88dB then I'll be booking Friday the 12th for Croft. I'll update here.

What with the Stubby doors? No chance, I need the extra width allowed for by the S3 / S4 / V8S models

Truth be told, Oulton may well be Tamy's first venture out on the track (in my hands). Slowly getting through the jobs on her. Really need to drive her more. Just over 600-miles since September is not good, for me or Tamy.

That said, I love the fact that Samy doesn't need 30-minutes to warm up.

Not sure if Tamy (Tamora) has a similar 'by-pass' that can be removed. Bookmarked though for checking. Samy warms up fine and quickly.

I assumed you were referring to the S3.

Samy's fine. The 'workhorse' like nature of the Ford running gear means I just need to tootle around for a few minutes before being more 'enthusiastic'.

Tamy can take a while to warm up. There's a definative change in the engine when the 'green light' is given.
