996 wing mirror help

Last night some scumbag walked down the pavement and knocked the mirrors off every car in a road, sadly mine was one of them. Have attached a photo of the damage and would like to ask some help identifying the broken part:



The mirror housing is ok, as is the plastic piece in the bottom. What's broken is the glass and the attachment to the car. Is that number 14 (?) in this image?

I was hoping that this piece would be smaller than the entire mirror internals

If the housing is OK, buy a used complete mirror off Ebay and swap your colour matched housing over. I did the same, cost me £55 for a full mirror unit (everything outside the car) with full electrics. Easy job to swap the whole mirror assembly, just 3 torx screws to remove after pulling off the interior trim piece. Even easier if you can find a mirror in your colour

Thanks for the advice, I'd come to the same conclusion yesterday after some instruction Google'ing and ebaying. I should have a complete mirror arriving from a breakers on Monday; £45 delivered and the same colour as the car. Job jobbed, hopefully.

I've got to start remembering that I'm driving poverty pork and that I don't need to be paying ridiculous new prices for everything
