It's sold now, I'm looking for a roof hoop/complete roof, broke mine last day of the S Tour if anyone has one or know of one. Won't need it before the winter months :-)

Worth giving TVR Dean / Glenn a call to check as they were breaking a couple of S's.

There were a couple of other breakers who had a few S's too. Can't find them in my history at the moment but I'll have a quick delve and see if I can find the details.

Get some tomorrow and I mended it badly,It's broken just above the bolt so a very weak point there on drivers side

How did you manage that Barry?! No worries, it's not a Chim so roof is not strictly necessary

Alan is the fibreglass expert but I reckon that'll mend.

Some wire inside to strenghten and then wrap with "tissue" to hold together without bulking it up too much?

It Needs a steel insert making, should be able to repair that and make it stronger thab before.

Hi Barry.
Had a look at this today, its a offset mounting arm so you will have to make up a 3mm offset steel plate with a bush welded in, insert and bond in the steel part to the hoop, glass build up with new laminated glass, I would not use filler or bridging filler as it will just break again, good strong glass fibre should do the trick. You will need to make a jig to get it all square.

I've glassed the broken bit back on today, and was going to sand it down as thin as possible and fit a plate on it, and re glass, fingers crossed, will make a plate with a hole for the bolt too go though so should be a bit stronger then it was
