Fitting Gaz Golds
Discussion
Its the front . I am doing all just started at the front. With the supplied bushes in the new shock it is about 2mm too wide to fit between the lugs. I will call TVR Power in the morning and see. Angle grinder perhaps on the lugs ?
For the corner height. Where did you measure from ( insert the blocks) and what size blocks did you make.
Thank you
David

I believe it was 150mm rear and 110mm front. Not 100% on the front. Derreck (abshocks) gave me the spec. Cut them on a chop saw measured up with calipers. It was nearly spot on out the box using this method. For the corner height. Where did you measure from ( insert the blocks) and what size blocks did you make.

I put the blocks under the chassis/out rigger corners.

Just fitted mine, and yes they were tight! What doesn't help is the spacers are supplied with a rubber 'O' ring, presumably to keep dust out of the Rose Joint, which seems to hold the spacers just that little bit wider. I used a small piece of wood to the width of the new shocker and gently tapped this into the gap to ease the brackets apart. I too thought that maybe the tightening of the original shockers had pulled the brackets in very slightly...worked for me

Well they are all on.
What settings have people used , number of clicks on the adjusters and ride height. Also where does this get measured from.
Thanks
David
I had a problem with N/S rear when I fitted mine. A good clout with a lump hammer and a bit of 4x2 opened the mounting enough. What settings have people used , number of clicks on the adjusters and ride height. Also where does this get measured from.
Thanks
David
For settings, Derek (Abs Shocks) advised rear at 12 from full soft and 10 for the front...But you should start at full hard and count number of clicks in total to click backwards...IYSWIM?

Hi
I suggest a ride height of 160mm rear and 150mm front
This measured from the corners of the outriggers to the ground
This is a starter, they will settle 5mm
Front dampers about 12 clicks from soft and rears 10 clicks from soft
Sorry about that Mr Warne I think you misheard me
Excellent, thank you very much for the detail.I suggest a ride height of 160mm rear and 150mm front

It's very high. Set it last week have driven about 100 miles. It looks like an all terrain vehicle. 150 front from bottom corner outrigger to ground gives a space between wheel and arch that you could pass a cat through quite easily.I suggest a ride height of 160mm rear and 150mm front

Just checking I understand the measurement.
