Suprise MOT Fail

So I confidently dropped my S2 off for an MOT expecting a pass because I've unfortunately only managed a few hundred miles since last year due to house move and new baby.
Anyway, despite it being the same garage that passed me last year - my S2 has failed due to 'missing side repeaters'. Now I was of course aware I had no side indicators (presumably the result of a previous owner body off restoration n 2006) but I didn't know it constitutes a fail for post 1987 cars until now!
So - word of advice. Make sure you have side repeaters for the next MOT.
