To be fair to them, this is a totally new car with some very impressive and young technology. I think they made an impressive show of it, they were genuinely in with a shout of winning late in the race.Let's hope it doesn't filter down to road models

In terms of the Mezger engines, 8 x 911 started the race with Mezger engines and all finished but 1. Number 75 retired due to losing a wheel.
