90's GT cars - Where are they?
Discussion
Would be nice to figure out where these cars are. I think eventually they'll become attractive propositions and they'll be appreciated in a series like Group C is, although maybe not to the same extent.
Obviously we know about the locations of F1 GTR's for example but what about all the 911 GT1's or F40 LM's.
The owner of one of the Lotus Esprit GT1's is on here but what about the other chassis or the Elise GT1's? (started a thread for Elise GT1's in the Elise section).
There were plenty of 911 GT2's made, and a member on here runs two of them, any others?
How about the XJ220C's from Le Mans in 1993. Jaguar has one and another is in Japan (recently spotted in that video with the 962 on Youtube). What about the third car?
Harriers, Ascari's and all the other unusual/small manufacturer GT cars that cropped up, where are they?
Would be nice if people knew where all these cars were, so many different racers in the different GT series back in the day, or if anyone has any stories about running them/seeing them race perhaps?

Last I heard, a French guy owned the Marcoses that ran at Le Mans in 1995.
A couple are now Road cars. One of these, I think, used to be a racer.
Another (at least one, maybe more) was (still is?) with Cor Euser in Holland a couple of years ago.
The racers without big manufacturer badges are probably at their best-buy point at the moment. Too old to race anywhere, but not your sought after as 'historics'.
What about the De Tomaso Pantera? I think it was run by ADA Engineering. Where's that now?

The TVR Speed 12 Cerbera and Marcos LM 500 Homoligtion road cars are at Goodwood this weekend.

Photos of the cars in action here:

They only ran for a few laps on Friday due to a XJ220 fire, a few laps on Sunday due to running late and an accident, so Saturday was the only full 20 minutes secession.

Photos look great ...... yes shame about the running time but in light of events understandable . Sadly got punted off at Maggots with a passenger in the car in 5 th gear not nice for him ............. somehow some forgot it was a demonstration run .
That is life , put a helmet off and brain goes numb ...

Sadly B1 , as I said no one lunges in at Maggots even in a race !!!! , had a issue with the cluch so only using 4,000 rpm max and fethering the throtle and would have gone in but wanted to give the guest a bit of a ride so just went through the corners to get the experience , not that the guest wanted the experience he had ....... a high speed trip across the grass ...... luckily by coming out of the brakes and a little wheel action avoided an inpact with barrier , so limiting damage .
But never heard of this action in track day rules ?????
Amyway I was way off track and the Ferrari was easy to move , so not sure why stoppage could have run with waved yellows but maybe they were a bit reluctant after watching the behavior prior which was a great shame as Porrsche and everyone had made a big effort .

Interesting subject, you have mentioned some of the cars that raced in BPR global endurance and British GT, others i can remember were:
Detomaso Pantera (ADA sponsored)
A pair of Lotus Esprit sport 300's (Factory i believe)painted in a kind of camouflage scheme
Morgan +8 GTR (Factory & driven by Charles Morgan)
Swansea Institute Tema Dartian GT90? (all white i think)
Venturi - various models
Lister Storm (particularly remember the earlier "stealth" bodied version)
Porsche 935 (Not sure if this was a genuine original 935)
Escort Cosworth
Detomaso Pantera (ADA sponsored)

Some great cars there. You'd assume they're locked up in a warehouse or private garage somewhere in the UK (or abroad perhaps) but god knows how you'd go about finding them, same for the rest of the cars around that time.Detomaso Pantera (ADA sponsored)

Just figured when starting this thread there might be people with contacts that know/own said cars.
Last I knew was that the Pantera was on a mezzanine storage floor at Zest Performance.
The GT1 Esprits had a chequered future, at least one became a GT2 car in British GT, another was reduced to a kit of parts IIRC
The Morgan (Big Blue) is in the USA I believe - The Escort Cosworth in Brit GT (there were actually two of them) lived at Quaife - and was replaced by their self built GT1

That looks magnificent.Any ideas where/when that was?
Patrick Hals in Belgium owns it.
The photo was taken at Spa Italia in 2011, and the car was in the process of being restored. I don't believe it had an engine or gearbox at that point.
This is the ADA Engineering Pantera that participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1994 and 1996. If you Google "ADA Pantera" you'll find articles about the results (in Le Mans, not so great, but it did have some good races elsewhere).
The car has it's own Facebook page: www.facebook.com/pages/ADA-Le-Mans-1994-Pantera/15...

Taken at October 1995 British GT, Silverstone.. I have just submitted these to racingsportscars.com where 1995 British GT has no photos at all.
