Not sure if it is in my head but my Tuscan seems to have become jerky on light throttle in traffic, any ideas

Cheers

Mine was feeling a bit odd like that - occasional efi error - and felt inconsistent on throttle response - it's in for it's 12k service at the mo and they are changing the lambda sensor - hoping it fixes the prob so it could be that?

Common causes are out of balance throttles, throttle pots or coil pack. I did find cracks in my exhaust manifolds recently which caused rough running below 3500rpm.

Looks like the jerky low revs was just a warning, drove the car yesterday and it cut out on the m6. We managed to get over to the hard shoulder. The car would start but only run for seconds. I rang the rac and waited for them to arrive. I left the car for 5 mins then tried starting it again, it did start and run but it smelt a little rich. The rac man arrived and followed me home and the car was fine. When it first cut out it did show up efi fault on the dash. I'm going to try and get it booked in Wednesday for a diagnostic check

last week I had the intermittent petrol smell thing for a few days + less than smooth driving at low revs. and stalling when first starting.
got paranoid about the petrol smell, popped the bonnet, and found I'd forgot to cable tie the air box clips, which were now loose. popped back on properly. no more problems.
