Hi P'Hers, having an issue with the Stilo's instrument cluster as i am getting "checking" on the LCD screen, then the whole cluster fails.
Later the cluster will work as normal, any suggestions folks on what the problem is and a cure to solve it.

When I had a Stilo Abarth, there were always instrument cluster problems reported on the Fiat Stilo forum. A weak or old battery was often the cause of general problems.

My fuel gauge used to try and go round 360 degrees as I switched the car on and off. I became very quick at removing the cluster and resetting it!

Good luck

Best asked on a specialist forum (Fiat Forum, etc, etc). Google will find.

Prime candidates have to be poor earth, body computer issue, low voltage.

When was the battery last replaced?

When I had mine, I was always getting ABS and similar faults flag up on starting only to disappear a few seconds later. New battery fixed it.

stilo's are very sensitive to weak batts.
