Major accident for #1 Audi in Free Practice being driven by Loic Duval - no news on him as yet. Fingers crossed...

Apparently they had to drive Audi engineers from the pits to the accident site to help release him from the car. frown

I really hoped for better luck for the drivers this year. Especially after the tragedy last year.

I think it’s because the hybrid system was still powered up and marshals are not allowed to touch the car until a light indicates that it is off. (source for all of this is the commentator of my tv channel)

Definitely looks a bad one, especially from the rear. Front pics show the car is a bit more intact.




So so pleased these cars do such a good job of protecting its drivers. Hats off to Audi from that aspect.
