Having just seen Le Mans on Sky+ (again!), I got to thinking that the Gulf livery looked just right on the car. Anyone else got a favourite?

Two which came to mind: The Gold Leaf Lotus (couldn`t find a decent pic), and this:

I'd echo those choices. The red over white with a midstripe in gold was a classic and I think the JPS Lotus colours was one of the most compelling reasons to watch F1 in the 70's.

Doesn't quite translate to the Elise though...does it? They also did the Elise in JPS colours.



I think the MacLaren current colours are pretty good.

Ah, it was more subtle than that though! A very clever interpretation of the Gitanes theme.
