Radiator Sealing Foam Strip - Source?

Can anyone suggest a source of the foam that goes round the edge of the radiator?

Got mine recently from ebay, lots of thicknesses there.

I cut up my old rear hoop seal (Chimaera) and used that. Seems to work fine.

How does this improve the efficiency of the radiator?

Forces the air through the rad not around it through the gaps as the air will follow the least line of resistance.
