Hi All,
need some help / stats on the life of a Diablo clutch. Car is on the list of possible purchases depending on Christmas bonus but i've heard some really nasty stories on clutch wear. I know the cost of a replacement but people keep telling me i'll be lucky to get 6k miles out of a clutch.
Does anyone have any first hand experience on the above.
Any help apprecited.

Really depends on you and how you drive.
I have done 36,000 miles (a majority of them in town) with 1 clutch change. If you ride the clutch - you'll be lucky to see 5/6,000 miles. Standing starts also destroy them. I find that granny starts enable you to put the power down far more effectivly.
It's really down to you.....

I remember seeing a certain Orange Diablo on the back of a truck with a bust clutch - mind you iirc it was on the way out when you bought it, I recall that car covering much of Europe on the next clutch. I suspect that was why it was such a good car - it was driven properly (I'll never forget accelerating onto the M4 in it - the most exciting car I've ever been in...)
Found the thread i was looking for. Lots of good tips from Lamborghini experts on this site:
