Why wheelies are cool!
Discussion
Probably belongs in BikeBanter but this video is just too funny/cool to keep to us bikers.

That ought to be X certificate, there are probably minors out there who think that these things are big and clever. On a track maybe, but who'd like to have been driving the white car that took the head on? (ok, it was into the boot, but you know what I mean).
Sorry to be a party pooper, but someone has to inject a little reality here. [insert I'll get me coat icon].

Actually phil I think it should be compulsory viewing. When you go to race meatings theres a chap that does stunts in front of kids but they don't see the accidents.
I don't know about you but when I watched that video I wasn't going "ohhh aren't they cool" I was thinking "what a pra@t that must of hurt"

I was feeling the pain! Been there, know that some of those guys would have felt lots of it!
I notched a lamppost 15ft up with a 750 Suzuki once when a wheelie went wrong - the mark is still there 20 years later (on the corner after the Philmores bank in Saltburn, if you're up there, the red mark). Popped a wheelie, forgetting that I couldn't use the back brake (just out of hospital after another crash and couldn't bend the leg for the stiches in my knee). By the time I did get the front down it was way too late to get round the bend. Consequences - total write off, engine ripped out of frame. Fortunately it was lowish speed so I was a bit bruised, but full leathers kept my skin on. Bike landed 2ft from my head - I don't think my helmet would have made a difference.
You may be right about showing the consequences, but maybe the odd splatter of brain would bring home the reality a bit more.
The drag strip novice (2nd clip in) had me howling though!
