Presumably another Typhoon scrambled over a light aircraft irregularity.

I think this lady is very appropriately named -

"Observer photographer Amelia Bullett, who is currently on maternity leave following the birth of son Jaxon 11 weeks ago, took to Facebook to say: "Anyone hear a massive bang? My house shook and scared the hell out of me.""

After several uncomfortable days of trapped wind following a vindaloo, I was finally able to relieve the pressure this afternoon smile I never expected the resulting sound to reach as far as Peterborough though ... yikes

Apologies for that! wink

I know the chap who was the pilot of a Typhoon who was scrambled a couple of years ago and flew from Coningsby to Birmingham in under 6 mins.....again because of a light aircraft using the wrong frequency. He said it was fun passing 1,000 knots across the UK.
