Is it not just a micro switch replace rather than the whole lock module?
As for difficulty, an indi quoted me an hours labour to change so I'd guess its pretty straightforward unless there's some electronic reset to do.

I was told by a specialist that it was a tricky 90minute job - maybe they under-estimated me but it didn't seem hard at all & without any instructions I did it in 40minutes, including careful re-sticking of membrane panel (didn't want to buy a new one). The whole lock was £9.99 off eBay (and is still working fine 20months later). smile

This was the passenger side btw, I believe driver's side may be a bit more involved.

It's an easy job to replace the lock don't even think about trying to replace switch as you'll have to open up the lock springs will fly every where

I think you should replace it with a cloth pull ala 4.0RS and 2RS
