My wife has a 2013 M135i 8-speed auto hatchback which we fancy improving, power-wise.

Anybody got a re-map or exhaust swap they can really recommend?
Anyone know if this engine responds well to tuning, as the older 135i seemed to?

Thanx.

Right, nobody, well Birds are going to remap it to 370 bhp and give it a Quaiffe diff (for anyone else with one of these fine cars.)

Hmmmm......I wonder who they are going to get in to do this then, as, as far as I know NO tuner has cracked the newer ECU encryption (Evolve and DMS can't as yet IIRC) which is why all the tuned M135's around that I'm aware of are running the JB4.

(maybe Jason at BMWChiptune can do it as he can remap the F10 M5 but I've not seen any specific posts about him doing a M135/M235)

you need to pop over to babybmw.net for more information on the options available. Quite a few seem to have gone the engine tune and exhaust route.

Evo were very impressed with the m135i that rossiters had put the ac-schnitzer upgrades on.

Jb4 from BMS is most common and appears best value tuning solution for M135i/M235i at present.

I have to say it is a bit slow as a road car. Even driving it at 10/10th of lat grip and traction I could barely break the speed limit. wink

Its hardly slow as a road car. It might not be as quick as some cars out there, but it is still faster than 95% of vheicles on the road.
