Hello,
Collected my MK2 Friday.
Beyond words.
I cannot compare with the MK1 but it feels very solid!
Did already 400 Km below 3500 RPM
It goes faster by the hour, sounds better by the minute and he is always astonishing.
Two Question?
ONE: Does anyone know the diagnostic codes?
They – at TVR - don’t mentioned nor explain them!
I know, the ones you get when starting up, you have to ignore but it would be nice to know anyway.
TWO: Which type/Brand of oil do I need; no compromises
Happy to hear you
Koen

Koen - fantastic! Beautiful colour! - You are set for a lot of fun and, if you didn't already know everyone in your town, you will now!
Wher did you collect from - a dealer in Belgium? How did you hear about TVR/Tuscans - any others around there?
Everything you need to know from Dr.Oily here:
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=124184&f=13&h=0
He mentions this regarding new engines:
"Putting in a full or even a semi synthetic can cause this to occur. When running in a new or rebuilt engine use a thick good quality mineral multigrade around the 15w-50 or 20w-50 mark for around a thousand miles, this is essential to bed the engine in correctly.
If you are burning a liter every 300 miles I would have it looked at. At worst you should be burning a liter every thousand."
Your dealer should tell you when to switch to synthetic. A lot of people use Mobile Rally 5w-50 then - I do, brand product/all rounder/better consumption than thinner oil.
So - more pictures please! Especially the left-hand set up inside!

Koen,
I am envious!
Isn't it odd that we 'slate the Tuscan 2 (myself included) stating that it's not nice, but these things are relative, it's bloody stunning, and the colour's fantastic. I for one take back what I thought about the T2, compared to 99.9% of other cars out there, it's breathtaking to look at!

Is that Reflex Charcoal? Looks stunning.
It's not fair tho' We have a deposit on a Tuscan Convertible and are still waiting for news of approximate delivery dates.
Mind you, it needs to be after March coz we bought a numberplate last week ATO5CAN - only £500 off the DVLA.
Does anyone know if the both the front lights will be fared in on the convertible. I prefer them that way. Much easier to keep clean.

Yes, it's reflex charcoal, looks even better in daylight
Well, I ordered my Tuscan in March and look ....but it was worth waiting for

Repeat about 10 times!

6 months I'm told.............
Had a look at the T2 this morning at HHC. I take back every thought I originally had about both the interior and the exterior. Both stunning.

That's the weird thing eh, when I saw the T350 in the flesh in the UK last w/e, it was so "different" to pictures I'd seen on the Web/TV. Just awesome.
I'm sure I'm going to embarrass myself when I see the Sagaris...
Koen,
It was very good to meet you last Saturday at Nimag. Thanks for letting me look round your Tuscan and for the chat. Your car looks stunning and I hope the wait was worth it? It is a very rare beast in Europe and I am sure your spec. is unique.
I am sure you are spending a lot of time driving your new toy and if you are ever coming this way (Alphen a/d Rijn - yes well, it's only a quick blast away!!) give me a bell and we can arrange to meet up.
Cheers, Andrew

[quote=R666 TUS]Now that'S PERFECT,new shape but with the much
nicer(imho) old style dash.
I wonder if the factory would let you have that
done in a right hooker or if it is just that they
have not developed a new style dash for the lefty's
yet.
Love the colour too.
It's a long story (03/2004) but I could convince a very nice lady at TVR to give me still the 'old-style" dash.
They already have the new LHD dash but I don’t like either.
