Great photos. Makes me wish I was there.

Just one thing though - A lot of them are not wearing numberplates (including the Cerby). How do they get away with it ?

They aren't required on the front in some US states I think. Could be wrong though...

Must have been anticipating tax cameras.

Drool!

Nice to see an Elise mixing it up with the supercars. How did it keep up though? Were they driving at 55mph? The 'long arm of the law' picture suggests not...

You are required to have front plates in California but most people take the risk for a couple of hunded dollar fine and a "fixit" ticket. On the local mountain roads near my house the CHP are very strict on it.
When you buy a new car you usually have to wait a month or longer before your plates are delivered in the post. In the mean time you have a temporary permit sticker in the window.
Some drivers pretend their plates are "in the post" for a very long time

Thankyou for that!
A veritable feast of superb, high-res images to remind us all, if we needed it, what EXOTICA really is all about.
I was particularly blown away by the stunning condition of that red Pantera and of course, the jaw-droppitus of Lamborghini's more recent masterpieces.
A couple of thoughts -
1. Has anyone ever noticed how annoyingly IMMACULATE our American cousins manage to maintain their pride and joys? Never a swirlmark or stonechip in sight!
2. God bless America for having the room, money and sheer balls to strut around so fantastically, flaunting such hedonistic delights. Bloody marvellous, I love you all (SH*T! I'm turning into Gene Simm outta Kiss; bleaargh!)
I'm gonna be drooling for some time to come...(and didn't that Cerby look mighty fine too!)

It seldom rains, and when these boys do drive their cars they give them a wipe and a polish when the come home and stick them back in the garage.

Dedication makes for nice paint work.

DeR, the reason the cars look so goddamn good is twofold:

1) Good light - didn't the blazing sunshine in all piccies make you feel good ? It did me. So the sun rays bounce off all those lovely curves etc

2) Zymol and the other such "Gucci" polishes probably cost dollar equivalent in the 'States, so what here costs a King's ransom costs less there. Plus more often than not your average Yank car owner is a bit of a pervert when it comes to waxing and cleaning cars - and jolly fair play to them too !

Greg,
I know EXACTLY what you mean! Isn't it depressing?
On the subject of 'Gucci' cleaners (good definition, BTW - these buggers must make a packet out of saps like me!) I must confess to having had a flutter recently on some Zymol - I'm sure it's good but after 6 hours covered in butter I just couldn't be arsed!
A good valetter is much more effective, cheaper and a damned sight less stressful! (But even then, in no time at all, you're covered in crap due to the standing puddles of dirty water, ready to be splashed all across your immaculate panels 'cos nobody seems bothered that our roads are increasingly only fit for Moto-X...)
Sorry about that; too much exposure to Amorall Tyre Blackener. Sniff.
