I've just got back from a great afternoon driving around Silverstone in 5 different cars.

To start, to get you warmed up is the Audi S3, next is the Porsche 993 Carrera 2, then the Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo followed by the ferrari 355 and to top it all the beast itself a Dodge Viper GTS.

The grin is still well and truely on my face

What a great afternoon, I recommend it to you all.

Bought the wife a supercar event at Prestwold Hall for her birthday - Viper, Diablo, XKR, Noble and Exige (SP?). She should enjoy that one too - doing it on the 31st of July. Anyone else going there ?

Cheers,

Paul

Check out www.tangerineuk.com for some of the details. There are a couple of companies that run these type of things. But the Prestwold Hall thing was around the 300 squids mark. Not too bad considering there is a Diablo there!!

Cheers,

Paul

we did the tangerine day at mallory park, it was great fun. i did the prestwold thing (Ferrari experience) also with tangerine a while ago and it is a tighter airfield track but with lots of tyres marking out the track on a very bumpy piece of concrete...makes the handling 'interesting' when you press on.

So how much would you expect to pay for a day in a fully prepared race Tuscan?

I paid £550 about 2 hours tracktime, well worth every penny....

Did the ferrari thing with tangerine. Not bad, but would agree that the airfield needs some work on it. The 360 was well balanced considering, but they wouldnt let me take my tuscan round...... I assume they didnt want me lapping them ;o)

I heard that the super cars are great and last year the only car to last without being written off was the lambo..... owner of all the cars was most p***ed off.

Huge amount of power on the straights but a beast to drive on the twisty bits, hard to slow down too, my 996 TT would run rings round it on the track, but it was my favourite car of the day a great drive and a great car.

thanks, glad you enjoyed it, i thopught the brakes on the viper were suposed to be very good, i remember VBH saying 'the viper has the re-asuring ability to knock speed of very quickly'- or something along those lines, anyway i'll shut up now!
