http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/... I'm going in my 66 Mustang - which isn't even vaguely a MOPAR. Anyone else attending ?

I might try and come along to this, if it's not raining.

I've just taken ownership of my first ever American Classic, so it would be good to come along to this... It's a Mustang too, so we can stick together if we get bullied by the MOPAR lot!!! laugh

Always love this event. MOPAR's are easily my favourite 'genre' of American muscle.
I'll be clicking away with my camera the whole day. Would be great if the test hill was in action for this, but they haven't got round to doing that yet.

well, that was quite a good turn-out, I thought. Unfortunately I had to leave at around 12.30 as I'm back at work tonight. I don't have any way of posting pics at the moment, did anyone else take any?

Thanks for posting this event. I had a great day. It was my first Muscle Car meet with my Mach1. I brought along my Dad and my Bro and it was an enjoyable 'Man Day Out'!!!

Yeah, that Cuda was loud!!!

So many gorgeous cars there.
That bright green Camaro SS dragster that started up was "IMMENSE"!!!

Bring on the Beaulieu Customs and HotRod Festival... driving

I was there early in the day and wasn't there for long but did take a handful of photos - I'll post up a link once I've finished processing them, but here's one I couldn't resist uploading already...

I've now put the small set of photos I was happy with up on flickr (I didn't take many, and not many are MOPAR cars):

A few from that set...
1959 Plymouth Savoy
1939 Chrysler Royal
1932 Ford Coupe
1932 Ford Pick Up
1974 Chevrolet Camaro SS

If I'd known which one it was I would have looked out for it and tried to get some shots smile. Car shows are generally quite busy and I go to a lot so I often don't end up photographing many cars at any given show (with many people around getting in shot, cars parked close together, angle of car vs sun not lending itself to good shots, etc, it's a bit random as to which ones I photograph).

I'm not sure if I'll be at the Mustang/American day in August (I have a niggling feeling there might be something else on that day I was thinking of going to) but if I am I can keep an eye out for your car smile

That's a shame frown. There are at least two more American car events still to be held there this year I think. Hopefully it's just a heat-of-the-moment reaction from Brooklands staff, maybe they're coming on strong initially to make it known how seriously they treat that sort of behaviour so word gets out that it won't be tolerated. It's completely understandable how unhappy Brooklands are - they're serious about safety on site and also if residents in the surrounding areas or police get upset due to behaviour from attendees of events it could cause them problems - but from reading that thread and the MMA one it sounds like the actions in question were nothing to do with MMA members so hopefully Brooklands will realise that and relent in time.
