Hi all,

Mrs Lufbramatt bought me a day in a Caterham for my birthday last year which we are planning to arrange for july. We get the car from 9:30am to 4pm, and have a 120mile allowance. Picking the car up from Crawley.

the big question is- where to go? I'm thinking head west to the south downs, maybe stop at Midhurst for some lunch, then carry on in a big loop around the south downs to have some fun, stopping for views, photos and coffee along the way.

Does anyone know any nice "hidden gem" roads that take us off the main roads? Any ideas much appreciated!

Cheers

Matt

Cheers- originally she wanted to get me a supercar experience day, but after reading lots of comments online about how you're not allowed to max the cars out and your time in the cars is so limited we settled on having all day together in a seven smile

Same question asked here with some good advice from culminated I believe. Don't know the roads personally but generally well recommended.

No probs, A272 is always the main recommendation in that area.

Just not the Haywards Heath section unless you want to spend all day stuck in traffic lights!

Jink south along the B road through Ditchling to avoid that, fantastic road but just a few miles long, should be even better in a Caterham!

ETA B2116 Ditchling going east.

agree with heading towards Goodwood. good trip there and roads around goodwood (esp via horse racecourse) are superb.
if you're back early or want to use more miles. then head towrds Turners Hill /Haywards Heath.
