Isn't the huge gantry with "40 MPH" signs all over it a bit of a give away

These look like something new altogether - the usual ones associated with the gantries and hidden away behind the illuminated speed restriction signs, so you can't see them. When the go off, it can be quite distracting. (especially if your not the speeder). The ones show there at the side of the gantries don't look like the type calibrated to road marking. I guess enjoy driving, whilst you still retain control of your own car. Given time, I'm sure big brother will want to literally control our speed, and the technology is already out there!
