Don't think the higher mileage on the 2.8 or 2.9 really matters, my S3 almost hitting the 98k mark, regular oil changes, sensible driving as in, not blipped until properly warmed up after some miles, general common sense really. The number of people I see jumping in there cars and thrashing up the road on a cold engine.

Agreed, now don't deliberately take mine above 5000 revs usually changing at 4500. The torque takes care of most overtakes without having to redline it. Having said all this the occasional foray into higher rev zones is of course required to keep the engine sweet especially if in a tunnel/narrow enclosed street for the reverb?laugh
As the weather looks ok, think I will stop playing on the forum & go for a drive.cool

I have only just passed 50000, in mine, but planning to increase that with a few road trips, sadly not Eurotour this year, but planning to explore Derbyshire with Glen, Devon later in the year, and should get over the border to Wales a few times this summer.

Would be interesting to find the highest mileage S which is MOT'd taxed and being used. Mine has 130.000 on the clock and running fine now!!
