Honda specialist in Herts?

Just bought an Accord Type R. The car has a few niggles which need sorting, and a service wouldn't go amiss either.

Been quoted ~£400 from Honda for engine oil, transmission fluid and valve clearances(!). Is anyone aware of a specialist in or around Herts?

If it's not too far for you, then the standard recommendation is TGM in fleet.

I’ve used them a few times for my S2000, excellent service and they really know their Hondas

They do seem to have a very good reputation, but still a little far out. Is there anyone further North? eg. Luton area, etc?

Failing that, any specialists in or around the East Midlands?

I use a local one-man-band indy.

Unique Motors in Watford, chap called Ian, used to work at honda main dealer, recommended to me by my Grandfather that used him for years.

Great prices and he takes pride in his work.


Charged me £250 for a cambelt when I first bought the Aerodeck. Always been happy with his service and labour rates (£45 an hour iirc)

Try DAG Autos in Kimpton (about 10 minutes from Luton) - 01438 832924 and speak to Neil. He's a proper Honda nut, has a stripped and caged CRX with a B18C engine in it and is currently putting an H22 into a 1980's Civic. He looked after both of my Honda's (DC2 Integra and EK4 Civic Jordan) along with my other cars (R33 Skyline, Astra Turbo and Navara).

Top guy who loves nothing better than to chat cars!

I would also recommend Tom Gannon at TGM Sport fleet - using him now for 7 years and I would not go anywhere - I also have an Pre-facelift ATR.

Not Honda, but Toyota specialists turned into general good guys....
