Put down the 10% deposit on my new Boxster S at the week-end. Should be getting the car in the very first production runs. Not long after the demonstrators arrive! Coool.
As Roadrunner said in an earlier thread: "You only live once."
Now. Do I stick a deposit down on my next one...for delivery in a year's time

Hi Greg!
I opted for Guards Red with a Full Leather Black interior. I wanted the biggest change I could get from Lapis Blue/Graphite Grey: and I happen to love Guards Red ever since I had a sh**e old Guards Red 911 years ago.
Yeah: Got PSM. Sports, heated, seats. Painted roll bars (in RED! should be loud). 18" Sport Design wheels again - love 'em. Got the aluminium/leather gearstick and handbrake upgrade too...just to lighten the black interior a touch. The obligatory wind-deflector..I've actually see none without it now...oh dear NOT a sensible choice...
I had considered PCM but ... Porsche have (temporarily) withdrawn it as the new one is bug ridden and the old one still uses a Cassette! So I think I'm going to take your advice and fit a Becker unit. The sales guy said so long as it can be removed and the original equipment level restored at trade-in time it won't affect resale value.
I'll have to get Tracker fitted of course...
Decided against the hard-top this time. With the new glass rear window I just can't believe its actually necessary. I *did* use my last one in the depths of winter and the soundproofing just wasn't as good as the convertible roof so...
The car is actually working out less expensive than my last one by a tiny bit. Nice..I was expecting a much larger bill!

Hello Don!
You don't want to wait for the Boxster Turbo then...
Actually I'm thinking of putting down a deposit on my one-after-the-next-one when I pick up my next one. If they tell me I could have a Boxster 'RS' Turbo-nutter-b*****d (sorry English Joke, Thom, from a TV show...) then that'll be the one I get.
Seriously: I think it may be the cheapest way to own a Porsche is to change it every 8 months or so...as they sell on for list price and you just pay the dealer margin.
We'll see.
