I'm taking my 9 year old lad to Prescott on the 24th - most of the reason being that the Veyron is 'the' car to him at the moment and he's never seen one in the flesh; he lives several miles from someone who owns 3 and is bemused he's yet to see one!

I'd appreciate any input on do's and dont's of the event/Prescott itself and any other suggestions or feedback so I can ensure we make the most of the day. Any insight on this years event also could be useful.

You're right, they do. My lad wouldn't have the patience for me to drag him to London from Nottingham to see a Veyron though! Even all the other cars to see I think he'd get bored quickly.

Prescott is a great venue, having just made a documentary about the place for uni I've spent a fair amount of time there recently and met some of the important people! Loads goes on at La Vie, I believe the Bugatti test driver comes over to Prescott to blast up the hill in a veyron, and riding shotgun on that run is a prize in the raffle! Usually theres about 5 or so veyrons at the event, they are expecting that this year but I imagine somewhat comes down to the weather etc!

Aside from the veyrons, there will be a ton of cars, I think a fair amount of them also race up the hill, and on a good day theres loadssssss of places to watch it taking place. Then ofcourse theres all the extra french themed things that go on.

I plan on going on the sunday, personally!

I've got my friends 21st birthday the night before, hopefully I can make it to this. I assume you can buy tickets on the day?

I'll be there, been to this event every year it's been held. One weekend there were no fewer than 7 Veyrons!

I'll be in the Orchard, with a small group of like minded car nuts as part of TheMotor.net

They give us a nice parking space in return for a small donation to the event on top of the entrance fee.

Make sure that you do explore everywhere, you never know what you might see!

The main advantage of going on the Saturday is that there will be over 20 TVRs competing in the TVRCC Speed Championship

Thanks for all the feedback. The weather looks iffy but I've heard tonight my lad still wants to go. All I want is to see his face when he sees a Veyron in the flesh!

Anybody be so kind as to let me know if any R5 turbos (mid engined) are there pics ? , was going to go but family commitments etc, any for sale ?..lol
