Canyon sizing help please

Looking at a Canyon - My existing road bike is a 56cm (i measure this centre of BB to centre of seat tube where it meets top tube)

Looking on the Canyon site it says Medium 56 (or M56) but when i look at seat tube legth the M is a 53.cm seat tube (and thats above centre of top tube)

If i wanted a seat tube of 56.3cm i would need a large. Ultimately my centre of BB to top of saddle is 79cm currently. Just a bit nervous about these Canyons and sizing

When I bought my new frame, i did a search online for excel bike comparison spread sheet - There is an excellent downloadable sheet that allows you to put in all of the geo of your current bike, and potential new bike to actually see what you'd end up with..
Meant I could see exactly what I was buying, and ensure it fitted like the current bike!

I'd ignore the Canyon size calculator, it tends to give smaller sizes. If you're happy with your current bikes sizing, use like for like measurements to find the nearest Canyon.
