Not Long Until S-Club Tour ...

... and I've got a few jobs to do. In order of priority;

1. Fit decat pipes as both cats are split and blowing. Waiting on the pipes.

2. Locate and fit rubber gear stick gaiter to cut some road noise out (I've got a Defender one to modify if I can't find a proper one).

3. Sort out some 12v power in the cabin - both USB and cigar lighter.

4. Fit rear disc conversion. Waiting on the four rear hoses. Although the garage is doing this.

5. Change the steering column bearing. Just being lazy.

6. Fit the Chim roof struts. Waiting for delivery.

7. Fit new seats. Need some help with mods required.

8. Fit new wing mirrors. Just being lazy.

9. Fit third brake light. Just being lazy.

10. Fit rear fog light. Just being lazy.

So who else has a list of things to do before the 6th of June?

ETA: 11. Fix what ever I break at Snetterton next Thursday.

After a quick e-mail with a fellow member item 7. may well be done this weekend along with 5, 8 and 9.

It would be great if the decat pipes turn up before Snetterton.

You only need to do number 1 if they are split on point adding unessary problems that don't exist

1. Change engine oil & filter, air filter & spark plugs.
2. Check & clean dizzy cap & rotor arm.
3. Adjust tappets.
4. Check tyre pressures.
5. General inspection for dodgy bits I don't know of yet.
6. Wash car.
7. Test drives. Cosford on Sunday. High Peak meet on 28th, Tatton 31st.
8. Wash car again ( that's 4 times this year! ).
9. Fill with petrol.
10. Pack everything ready for the Eurotour, especially plenty of Old Speckled Hen just in case.

Don't forget tickets, booking details, passport, money, insurance details, spare pair of waterproof thermal shorts & orange balaclava.
Oh, & a sachet of Ovomaltine for Joe

Besides, I don't know if the AA cover the continent, I think they contract it out.

Decat pipe and brake hoses should be with me next Friday. Too late for Snetts but should be fitted well ahead of the Tour.

3. Send meal choices (when I receive the last one )and final payments to hotels
4. Finish routes
5. Finish The PIMP
6. Wash car
7. GO!

Oh, and the small matter of passing the MOT this afternoon...

I needn't worry about what CDs to take this time because the car hasn't got a CD/radio.

If you do a bit of googling, you should be able to find a list of the min. requirements for motoring sur le Continent.
Make sure your insurance is in place & bring the certificate. ( Check that your insurer covers European breakdown & recovery, most of them do.
And enough Euros for bribes on the spot fines.
Oh, and remember to disable speed camera alerts on your satnav in France.
Penalty is a draconian €1000 fine & confiscation of the offending device.

I like to travel light myself....
( Please note the motorbike is not included in my spares pack! Although it would be handy.....)

You're gonna have a marvellous time so don't worry.

Glenn - that's a serious boot full. (dare I say, where to put the targa tops - I won't be leaving mine at home). I particularly like the flag - that idea could catch on in convoy. Aware the French authorities are somewhat draconian (probably to us brits), but worth knowing about the sat navs (wasn't aware of that at all) So I guess they won't like laser trap detectors running either! (I don't have one but know another TVR owner who does and was going to lend it!)

Oh, there's plenty of room for the targa panels as well!
We tend to put them on at night for security & to keep heavy dew off the interior.

Borrow the laser detector by all means, just keep it switched off & in the boot when in France.
We never exceed the limit anyway, do we chaps?
I never go over 60 on that big dial on the right ;D
