Radio head unit recommendation, late 3.2.
Discussion
Hello again, ok so you're getting the picture...good car but some nasty bits on it, want to improve it getting it back to what it should be. The current head unit is some god awful Wharfedale brick, any ideas what should be in there, or is there an up to date but sympathetic to the era modern unit.
Cheers

Panasonics were fitted in the majority of Porsches, although Blaupunkt is probably more likely in a 911.
A Becker is a good suggestion, because their neutral, simple styling looks good and they have a pull down flap which hides the CD slot. Many have GPS nav too, but the trade-off is that theres no aux-in or MP3 support, so its old school CDs only, if a CD can really be old school.
Ive actually fitted a steady Pioneer MP3 compatible radio in my 944, which is black with limited red illumination, and a picture of a Becker in an MX-5 wont really help, but a quick Google returned this:

I have a Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 48 which lights up (not code protected) when powered. Probably your era. Might sell...Cheers
The Beckers are so expensive it's not true and more 964/993era? Everyone says the Porsche Classic one is poor. And expensive.
