Roof lining

Has anyone ever removed theirs? Is it just glued in place?

Trying to work out the best way to recover it with a suitable material.

I have had mine replaced with alcantara fabric, but as for getting the old stuff off, it’s a total git, its flocked. To exacerbate matters the flocking covers a rough glass fibre finished. To clean the flock off I used a belt sander and got a really nice finish for the alcantara fabric

Thanks for replying. I hadn't realised the flocking was stuck traight on to the fibreglass. Now I realise why one little bit of my roof lining is so rough where the flocking is thin!

So does anyone know whether that panel comes off? Or do the upholsterers cover the roof lining whilst the roof is in one piece?
