Why spend a fortune on expensive electronic reversing sensors to prevent crunching into that shelving rack containing rare & precious collectables when backing your S into the garage ?
Just suspend a tennis ball on a bit of thin cord from the garage roof so that it just taps the back of your head when you are in exactly the right position.
Obviously this may take quite a few attempts before you get it spot on, but hey, once perfected, you won't destroy half as many valuable things in the future.
N.B. Obviously this only works with an S.
With a Chimaera, the tennis ball will only nudge against the back window, and the car will never be far enough into the garage to close the door. Or you won't see the tennis ball until it appears in front of the windscreen and the rear of your Chim has gone completely through the back wall of the garage.
P.S. If you're thinking of driving forwards into the garage, DON'T DO IT!!!

My 94 year old father recently bought a new C1 and decided this car was going to live in the garage. I was a bit worried as the garage isnt very big and there are lots of things like step ladders and vacuums to hit. I cleared some of the stuff to the tip, when I came back he was experimenting with a soft toy! He worked out that if he hung a small soft toy from the roof down at front wing level he could drive in, just have the toy brush against the side of the wing where he could see it, until it came up against the mirror. He was then in perfectly front to back and side to side. Car now goes safely into garage every night. Old he may be, but marbles he still has!!
Old lady next door, some years ago, had a DAF variomatic. Drove it carefully into the nice long garage. Big crash as she knocked over a garden tool which hit the box from the mower. Panicked and jammed the brake, but somehow managed to get the throttle instead AND put it in reverse. Amazing scream from tyres, shot back, she swerved, front of car dragged out door frame and part of pillar, collapsed door and front of brick built garage onto car. Garage and DAF written off!!!!
